In 2016, he was so successful and made so many parts, that he added a programmer and another seat of SolidCAM 2D Mill and iMachining, as well as a Shop Floor Editor. Just 2 months later, he made the jump to iMachining 3D. Ken also instructed him on how to fully utilize templates, which made his programming much more efficient. Since he was located closest to Senior Application Engineer Ken Merritt, he paid to have Ken come into his shop and Ken amazed him with the capabilities of SolidCAM. He soon became interested in exploring 3D and also looked to get more proficient with SolidCAM, so he decided to get some formal training. He immediately dived in and started making parts for an increasing number of companies and managed to raise enough money to renew his subscription as he loves SolidCAM and the Support we provide. Soon after he got his CNC, he was convinced by Steve Welch that the key to his success was a full system of SolidCAM 2.5d and 3d Mill with iMachining 2D.

His modesty made him request we don’t mention his name, but his story simply must be told. Back in 2014, one of SolidCAM Inc’s first graduates from a School using SolidCAM’s EDU program started his own machine shop with an old, used HAAS CNC.
